Day 38 Glen Nevis - Fort William

Nevis Range Gondola
Views from the Top
I have noticed that I seem to be wearing the same clothes in most of the photos. There is a simple explanation for that, I am. But, I can assure you they have been washed - at least once.
A fab day. Went first to the gondola car park which is the start for a series of mountain bike rides round the Leanachan Forest, or if you are particularily suicidal, you can take your bike up the mountain on the gondola to take on the world championship downhill course. We wanted to do that of course, but my gel saddle was too large to fit into the rack to get the bike on the gondola!! No comments about the big ass please!
Had to settle with doing the Broomstick Blue run, which is 7km of "interesting" biking throught the forest. Neither of us fell off is all I want to say!
Took the gondola up the mountain for lunch then a hike across to get the best views. And what views they are - Scotland is spectacular!
On the way back saw a swanky hotel, Inverlochy Castle, which could have been a contender for Saturday, so drove down the tree lined driveway. As we were parking, a flunkie came racing out to see what we wanted. I said we had never been greeted like this before, how nice, and dont worry, we ae not going to camp in the car park! Menu looked a bit fussy, but the killer blow was that men had to wear jacket and tie. Not something Ross has in his much reduced wardrobe!
Just about had  the energy to get back and pour the Glenmorangie.
