Day 31 Poolewe to Applecross 70m and Day 32 Applecross to Balmacara 40m

Yet another Poolewe sunset
Lovely Gairloch
No, we have not given up, just no signal at Applecross. Anyway, leaving Poolewe behind, we first arrived at Gairloch, and perhaps here there was more to see and do, but c'est la vie.
From here, we had a scenic drive past "Victoria Falls" (did not live up to its name) then through the majestic Glen Torridon.
After a long run around the narrow coastal road we arrived at  the picuresque and remote Applecross.
"Sand" beach where Monty Hall's Great Escape was filmed, which is within sight of an award winning restaurant in Applecross where we had a very nice meal.

Day 32
Bealach na Ba (The pass of the cows)
Rain first thing so treated ourselves to a hot breakfast in the campsite Flower Tunnel Cafe ( a bubblewrapped polytunnel). Then against advice of our friend Ian, who has ridden a motorbike up this road, we decided to take the High Road! It was wet, misty, very narrow and very steep with some nasty hairpin bends but the driver (Taz) and the Starlett coped majestically. Well, we got down in one piece anyway!
A visit to Plockton for a bowl of mussels and cullen skink. Wandering round the village we were suddenly caught up in a clan wedding procession, complete with piper. On to our next stopover, Balmacara, where as the weather is still a bit damp we have nothing more planned other than a baked tattie (no neeps).
