Day 29. Ullapool to Poolewe 60miles

To Ullapool from the end of Loch Broom

Woke to a fine calm morning in Ullapool, set off late to find some fresh fish, no chance, I don't know where all the seafood goes up here, but it seems impossible to buy some. Any way, we motored off up the valley to Corrieshalloch Gorge.
The deepest Slot Gorge in Great Britain and very impressive it was too.
After this we headed for Gruinard Bay, where there are more fantastic beaches, Pink ones ,white ones, big ones, and all Beautiful. We decided to cycle across the moors to Slaggan, a ruined village deserted since the mid forties, 3 mile each way of hard going on the old road and below, is all that is there.

On to the CCC site at Inverewe for the next two nights
