Bit drizzly and misty so set off early for Fort William. Stopped to tak a pic of  the site of the battle of Glen Shiel in 1719. Arrived at the campsite at Glen Nevis, where it was warm and sunny, early enough to get a really nice spot in the corner with 2 thick hedges round us. Taz used to love to hide in the hedge in the garden at the shop, and has obviously been missing this activity because the first thing she did was get right in the middle of it, tangling her lead round all the roots!
Biked into Fort William, about 2 miles away, so Ross could relive his youth. (I have heard just about every trials story there is now). There looks like a nice fish restaurant overlooking Loch Linnhe so we booked a table for our anni on Sat. After a coffee and a bag of Thorntons chocolates we made it back to camp.
This site gets better- we had the best fish and chips from the take away here, and it was warm enough to sit outside to eat them. People are wandering round in these midge hats (netting all over the head) which are not very attractive, but we have not been bothered with them at all yet.
Went for a late evening stroll down the glen and saw the start of the hike to Ben Nevis but decided to give that a miss!
